I contacted Jay, ( Super Handy ) through Thumbtack online as I was looking for someone to repair my GE clothes washer. Within a couple of hours Jay responded, asked a couple of Q's about the job and my location. He got back to me with a quote upfront, and a time when he'd be available. We agreed on meeting at 6:30 at my home. Shortly before showing up he gave me a heads-up call that he was on the way. At 6:30 he was knocking at the door. Jay was pleasant, friendly, and very professional. Genuinely seemed to be a nice guy. By 7:30 he'd already found and fixed the issue with my washing machine. I was so pleased that I brought up a couple of other things I needed looking at including a ceiling fan repair. The LR fan had not worked for quite a long time, and neither did its light work. But with summer heat close by I didn't want to spend another season w/o it working. Jay offered to look at the problem with the fan while he was there. It's a bit of a higher end fan with a remote control. It needed a variety of tools to disassemble and was not an easy challenge because of a difficult and very limited access to the parts. He'd given me a quote for the work. Still after disassembling and then determining the problem the fans odd construction led to him having to disassemble & reassemble it several times. But Jay had a stick-to-itive type attitude and didn't want to leave until he'd finished the job, and finished it right! Both the fan and light, and the washing machine are all working fine now, and all for the $ he quoted me. I know this is a long review and honestly I don't often give reviews unless I was extremely dissatisfied or very satisfied by the encounter. I have to say I'm glad to have used his company, and if something else needs doing or needs doing I won't hesitate to call Jay!
