FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Your listing is unique, therefore our approach for photographing each property is different. Our services include but are not limited to interior and exterior photography, lifestyle and detail shots, host portraits, and photographs of local hotspots and must-visit places. A typical process you should expect is as follows: Upon booking, we’ll review every detail we can find about your listing by getting to know your property and the community where you’re located through your current property listing, available reviews, and public profile. On the day of your photoshoot, we’ll start with a walkthrough for purposes of planning compositions, lighting, and learning more about what makes your property unique. You’re welcome to be involved as much or as little as you prefer. Once photos are completed, we will manually take each composition into a finished image. We review all editing in-house to provide consistent quality every time. Within 2-3 days, your final photos will be delivered to you through a password-protected shared folder. The number of photographs you’ll receive depends on the size of your listing. Listings up to 3 bedrooms could see 25-30 photos, where more than 5 bedrooms might see over 50.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been photographing with DSLRs since college and have done amateur photography for my own personal hobbies, have worked as an in-house photographer at a whisky distillery, and have worked with plenty of individual clients all with different goals and objectives. Additionally, my background is marketing, so I'm always considering who the photograph is being taken for.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love for photographing weather turned into a newly found passion for landscape and nature photography. Then, between 2019 and 2021, I was the Digital Marketing Manager and served as the in-house photographer for Lovingston-based Virginia Distillery Co. where I continued to bring my photography skills into a professional setting. I started real estate photography in 2020 and launched Foxhaven Photography in 2021. My goal is simple: to provide real estate agents and and homeowners in central Virginia with fast, affordable, and high quality photos taken by a friendly, reliable professional. Quality, value, and customer service are key components to our success in the Charlottesville community and its surrounding areas. Complicated scheduling, slow delivery, and unprofessional-looking photos are pain points I aim to relieve. I offer easy online ordering, flexible appointment times, fast turnaround, and most importantly quality imagery for your listings. I love what I do and would be honored to photograph your properties to help you sell real estate or promote your Airbnb, Vrbo, or extended stay homes. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. I look forward to learning more about your projects and how I can help.
