Lewis Tutoring - Math and Science

I am an experienced math and science teacher and I would like to offer my services as a tutor in the Charlottesville area. Consider: I have five years experience teaching full-time subjects such as Biology, Earth Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geometry, Algebra, and Physics. I earned a master of science degree in ecology while studying biotechnology, statistics, calculus, organic chemistry as well as teaching science to undergraduates. I create science and math instructional and assessment materials aimed at grades 3–12. I know how to structure an effective lesson! I have worked with gifted students and students with behavioral issues and learning disabilities, grades 4–12. I relate well to a diverse audience. I enjoy luring young minds into learning, igniting their curiosity to ask questions and especially, daring young people to try to answer those questions. I help students learn facts and processes as a means towards a robust understanding of subject matter.
