I am Bakari Thomas, owner and operator of It’s Worth the Wait food truck. It’s Worth the Wait is dedicated to providing the highest quality handheld, made from scratch eats. I am a Norfolk native, with over 15 years experience in the food industry. My professional experience coupled with the culinary degree I obtained in 2012, has allowed my expertise to expand to all dining experiences, to include food-on-the-go, casual, and fine dining. Everyone at my wedding praised his food !!! They said I hsve never been to a wedding where the wedding was beautiful and the food was great !!! This man cane to my house and cooked on my stove for my tasting , just amazing !!! I will not be disappointed

Chef B is fantastic! He was very punctual, his arrival to the facility made it helpful with assisting others in e.g DJ, photographer, and bartender; that relieved the stress of having to deal with it. And he did so with no annoyance, he seemed happy to do whatever was needed to make the event a success. He was also very helpful in the planning phase, as me an my husband were not entirely sure of the menu, we loved his suggestions. He gave us a free tasting of all the items before the event to be sure we were satisfied. After the event, we got nothing but kudos for the chef we picked for our event. Food was hot and stayed replenished. And we appreciated how personable he was with our family and friends. He will definitely be called for our next event.

My last year birthday party was catered by worth the wait and the food was excellent and it was more than enough for all of my guests. Worth the wait will also be catering my graduation party because the food was just that amazing. I also love the presentation of the food choices because they look so good. Worth the wait is definitely a quality business that I will use for all of my major events for now and for years to come!!!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been professionally cooking for 13 years now and I came across a job that asked me to help cater. From there on I developed speed and technique from other jobs to form my own catering company.
