About

We use the best labor around, only experienced, trained employees represent our small family owned business. We have been screened and approved to move high end estates, museums and many designer homes. All furniture that is moved is treated with white glove treatment. Every piece is blanket wrapped for protection and handled with care. We are proud that we have never had an insurance claim. We take our time to do the best job possible but at the same time use experienced, hard working teams. We never use day labor. Our 6 years in service in the RVA area as proven to be rewarding and we keep trying harder to please our customers. If you value your personal belongings we are the company for you. You can be sure that your move will be safe, secure and delivered in the same condition as it was picked up. We enjoy the satisfaction that we hear from our customers after a job is completed. They love our guys. We also have many return customers that use us for all kinds of furniture related jobs, when they buy new furniture or want things rearranged in their home. They call us when work is being done in their home to move furniture. Those return customers are our proof that we are doing it right. It is a satisfaction like no other to hear those familiar voices again and again.

I was blown away by how fast, professional and friendly our movers were! Linda was great and answered all of my questions. The team arrived on time and took care to ensure none of our items were damaged. Our one-bedroom apartment was moved in two hours - counting travel time! My fiance and I don't have much in the way of furniture, but we do have a LOT of fragile electronics. Everything remained in pristine condition, thanks to the amazing team. We would absolutely work with Heirloom again!

I’m very picky & not easily impressed. I’m extremely satisfied with Heirloom. This was a very smooth transition. I communicated with Linda several times and in addition to being patient and understanding regarding my builders rescheduling my closing date on more than 1 occasion, she ensured me I’d be satisfied with their services and she delivered on her word. The movers were very professional and not some jacked up guys that just showed up to move furniture. These guys took their time, pointed things out to me & secured all my belongings. I received several bids from Thumbtack and it pays off to invest in the extra few bucks! You get what you pay for.

Heirloom express did a great job on my move. They were on-time and very professional. I was impressed. All the charges were told to me in advance and the price was great for the quality of work done. Also, the furniture was wrapped with moving blanket and in some cases shrink wrapped. The movers even provided great feedback and recommendations regarding the placement of furniture. I would definitely use them again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We base the pricing on the size of the move, the number of stairs, and the distance of the move. These factors determine the labor and the costs of the job itself. Pricing is also based on the size truck needed and the amount of work requested for particular job. For instance some customers want packing, unpacking, disassembly, reassembly on top of usual load and unload duties.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer an estimate by phone which most busy customers prefer. When we know the size of the move, number of stairs and distance to new location, we can give a good estimate of the amount of time. The size of the job also determines the number of guys needed which is what the job is based on. It also helps us to determine the size truck to use and materials needed to complete the job professionally.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years of handling furniture with a "white glove" delivery service. We have handled the most expensive high end pieces and continue to handle customer's household items the same way. We are proud of our reputation of caring for what we move.
