FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For my photography business, it's important for customers to be aware of the following aspects regarding pricing: Base Pricing: Clearly understand the base pricing for different photography services. This includes charges for sessions, prints, digital files, and any other standard offerings. Package Options: Explore available package options. I offer different packages to accommodate various needs, and these may include a combination of services at a bundled rate. Additional Services and Fees: Be informed about any additional services or fees that might apply. This could include travel fees, additional editing requests, or special equipment requirements. Customization: Understand the flexibility for customizing packages. I am open to tailoring services to meet specific needs, and the pricing may be adjusted accordingly. Discounts and Promotions: Inquire about any available discounts or promotions. Depending on the season or specific events, I may offer special deals or discounts for certain services. Payment Terms: Clarify the payment terms, including the accepted methods of payment and any deposit requirements. It's essential to have a clear understanding of when payments are due. Cancellation and Refund Policy: Know the cancellation policy and whether any refunds are provided. This helps manage expectations in case unforeseen circumstances arise. Rights and Usage: Discuss the rights and usage of the photos. Understand whether the pricing includes full rights to the images or if there are restrictions on their usage. Timeline and Turnaround: Be aware of the estimated timeline for delivering the final products. This is especially important for events or projects with specific deadlines. Communication on Changes: If there are any changes to the original agreement or pricing, I commit to transparent communication. Customers will be informed in advance of any adjustments and the reasons behind them. By having a clear understanding of these pricing aspects, customers can make informed decisions and feel confident about the investment they are making in my photography services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally, I prefer to conduct a pre-session consultation to address any queries, discuss a suitable budget, and explore preferences for the final presentation of photos. This includes discussing whether the client envisions physical prints, canvas, digital prints, or an online album with the option to order prints.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Taking photography classes in high school is technically my form of "education". As I lack extensive formal training or higher education in the field of photography. As a self-taught individual, I have dedicated considerable time to educating myself on camera terminology and the various elements of photography.
