About
My work stands out from others because I teach non-traditional lessons. I create the whole lesson around YOUR goals, not on what some book says you need to learn. Fun is the focus, education is the side-effect. Also, I offer group classes AND private lessons, and have an online student portal, where you can download curriculum hand outs and class recordings, and even talk with other students (and myself) in a student-only forum. Seeing that "light bulb" go off when someone gets something. Knowing I'm making a difference in someone's life, no matter how small, is huge to me.

Seth is an outstanding teacher who clearly loves what he does, and he takes time to match lessons to your goals, interests and skills. I came in with zero knowledge or experience, and now I look forward to practicing and playing guitar everyday!

Seth has been very professional. He has been great with my 8 year old son. He has worked out problems in our schedule, happily. I would recommend him to anyone.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I always start with a free lesson, and aim to get a better understanding of the student, and from there, plan backwards, and show the student the "roadmap" to reaching their goal on the guitar (or ukulele, or bass). That's where it gets exciting....

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Know what you want your result to be. Any teacher who doesn't ask you "what would you want to be able to do, if you woke up tomorrow and could magically do it?" does not have YOUR musical goals in mind, and your more likely to end up playing mindless exercises from a book while they watch and correct. I fell asleep just WRITING that sentence... There is a need for a new breed of teaching music, and I like to think I am part of that revolution.
