This company is a joke! waited two weeks past the scheduled work date before calling to get a new date. Was informed at 11am that they were on the way and waited tell 6pm before they showed. worked 1 hour and was told they would be back first thing in the morning. They showed up at 3pm the next day. they left a cut tree in my front yard saying the bar on the saw was bad and they would be back in a day or two to cut it up and get it moved. again weeks went by so I called the owner again. I was told that the person that came to my place was fired for such work as what was provided to me. the owner informed me that they would make things right and send a crew out to cut up the tree and finish the stump grinding. again two weeks past and I called again but now I am sent to voice mail. I left a message and got no return call. My son goes out front and decided he would play on this great new toy "THEY" left in the front yard and snaps is arm in half. I again call and again sent to voice mail. I left another message letting them know that this tree has now resulted in my sons broken arm. No return call. I called again and again voice mail so I called from another number and they answered the phone. I informed them that it was me calling and was told that it was not their problem. I was informed that any work done by their employees is between the employees and me and is not the companies responsibility. Spend a bit more and get a real company to do the work.
Robert J Miller Tree and Landscaping, LLC's reply
This was an estimate and was provided a written proposal over a month ago. He said he would let us know if he wanted the work done. He called two weeks later and said yes he wanted stump grinding. I sent a subcontractor out to grind 20 stumps in which he did and he paid the sub . Really it is not financially gain to grind 20 stumps for $300, that is why I subbed it out. He later claimed that the sub sub came out later date and did tree work. I was not aware and the sub was working independently not under the company. I do not have any written contract or payment for tree work, because we did not do it. We only grinded stumps that was covered. The customer got angry because we would not come up and clean up a mess left by another contractor. He claims that he paid the sub, why would you pay someone if they did not complete the job. This makes no sense. He has harassed me, threatened me, left nasty emails, phone messages for work we did not even do. Were not even sure that the other contractor did the work that the customer didn't take down the trees for insurance fraud purposes. We never do jobs like this and would never authorized tree work by an unlicenced inexperience subcontractor. He has blasted negative comments all over the BBB and porch.com and here. BBB deleted his comments and so did homeadvisor.com. I ask that you do the same since there is actually no proof that we performed the work. No signed contract or payment method.
