FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is transparent and straightforward with no hidden fees. Costs vary based on the type of service, distance traveled, and appointment timing — evening and rush appointments may carry a small additional fee. All fees are clearly communicated and confirmed before booking so there are never any surprises. Appointment and travel fees are collected at booking to secure your appointment, and notarial act fees are collected at the appointment. I'm always happy to answer pricing questions before you book — just reach out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting started with NTS is simple. Once you reach out, I'll ask a few quick questions to understand what documents you need notarized and where you're located. From there I'll confirm availability, go over the fees, and collect the appointment and travel fee to secure your booking. Before we meet, I'll let you know exactly what to bring — typically a valid government-issued photo ID and any unsigned documents. At the appointment I'll guide you through the entire process step by step, making sure you understand each document before signing. I never rush my clients. After the appointment I'll handle any scanbacks or document returns if required. My goal is for every client to leave feeling informed, confident, and stress-free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a commissioned Virginia Notary Public, an NNA Certified Notary Signing Agent through the National Notary Association, and a Loan Signing System certified signing agent. I am also Virginia state-authorized for Remote Online Notarization (RON), which requires a separate application and approval process through the Virginia Secretary of the Commonwealth. I hold a background check and Errors and Omissions insurance. I stay current on Virginia notary law and best practices to ensure every notarization I perform is legally sound and professionally executed.
