Outstanding work — these guys know panels inside and out!
I hired VP Services to add a whole-house surge protector to my 40-year-old Square D panel, plus some rewiring. After losing two dishwashers and two microwaves to lightning-storm surges over the years — and dealing with chronic flickering — I wanted it done right.
I got estimates from three well-regarded contractors through Thumbtack. Mike One spent far more time than anyone else actually inspecting my panel, and he caught real problems: a single ground instead of the two code requires now, multiple double-tapped breakers, and scoring and flashing inside the panel itself. Based on that, he recommended replacing the panel outright — bringing it to code, adding room for more breakers, and setting me up for a second panel down the road to run battery backup on key circuits. He answered every question I had, and the price was very competitive. Easy choice.
The install matched the professionalism of the estimate. Mason and Dominic gave me a 30-minute heads-up, arrived right inside the 2-hour window, and Mason laid out a realistic 6-hour timeline (no power during the work). They were courteous the entire time, moved through the house carefully, and patiently answered my many questions. They finished right at 6 hours — and the new panel looks fantastic. Very professional young men!
Later that week Mike Two came out for the county inspection, arrived right on time, and ran a smooth virtual inspection from his phone. No hassle at all. (And yes — I had a Mike One and a Mike Two. Thing One and Thing Two of electrical work.)
VP Services was easy to work with, responsive to every question and concern, and clearly took pride in the work. I'm already planning to bring them back in the spring for my battery backup install. Highly recommend.

VP showed up for free, which is something uncommon to locate on this platform today. The technician is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He checked out the electrical circuitbox and suggested upgrading to a new one. Yes, the electrical circuitbox I have is old. We haven't decided on the technician's recommendation yet due to circumstances beyond our control, but when we are ready, we will definitely choose their services. Hopefully, a Black Friday sale can kick in … Nevertheless, we also haven't checked out any other company so far, since this isn't like Best Buy or Lowe's doing a price match. The technician was super helpful and really went the extra mile to try and figure out what was going on with our newly installed ceiling fan that wasn’t working for free. Thank you!

We accept all major credit cards for your convenience. Once you approve the estimate, we'll schedule a time that works for you to complete the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is simple: First, we discuss your needs over the phone and schedule a convenient time to visit. When we arrive, we thoroughly assess the situation—not just the immediate problem, but any potential safety concerns.
