- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was inspired to this line of work by Atticus Finch. I read To Kill a Mockingbird in high school and saw the movie. He quickly became my number one literary hero. I do what I do because I was inspired by literature, of all things. Its incredibly fulfilling work. I believe the United States has the best criminal justice system in the world and an integral part of that is important work. I believe in it very much. Im proud to be a part of the system. - What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You want somebody with experience. You want somebody whos known to be aggressive, take cases seriously, and try them if they need to be tried. Do your research on the Internet. There are review sites like Avvo and other sites that rate attorneys. It doesnt matter how much an attorney tries to pay those websites, their ratings are what they are. Find a well-rated attorney that has good client reviews and good peer reviews. Those are the kind of people that you want.
