Private Dance Lessons
Josh did a great job. The lesson was fun, and both my wife and myself learned a lot. We are looking forward to the next lesson. 100% improvement over any dance lessons we have taken in the pastJan 6, 2020Verified
Wedding Dance Lessons
Josh's expertise and dance curriculum were just what we needed!Jan 16, 2020Verified
We hired Josh to help us with our wedding dance - his style is amazing. My husband and I had tried to take professional dance lessons but were so uncomfortable - josh held the lessons in our home and it was wonderful. We had one on one time with him and he even stayed longer than the one hour time to help us with areas we weren't grasping. I highly recommend him - you will be much more comfortable dancing with your partner after he is through with you!Feb 13, 2016Verified
Josh is an awesome teacher and puts his pupils at ease immediately! We were really nervous about looking super awkward for our first dance at our wedding. Josh helped us feel really comfortable dancing with each other and teaching us some simple skills to look awesome on the dance floor (in just 3 sessions)! Our guests were blown away!Jun 26, 2015Verified
Let me start this review by explaining that before meeting with Josh, I had no experience in dancing and my husband had no interest in dancing. However, compelled to not look foolish on the dance floor and wanting to have fun at our wedding, we looked for a dance instructor. From the very first communication, Josh was very professional and flexible with us! In only three lessons, he was able to take my husband and I from zero-skills in dancing to a level of confidence in putting together our first dance and have a LOT of fun dancing at our wedding, from first dance to last dance. His philosophy and manner of teaching helped us develop a deeper connection on the dance floor and understand better what makes dancing partners look good! He taught us the steps and tools needed to have fun dancing at our own wedding and to pull together a whole first dance. Because Josh was able to meet us wherever we were located, it definitely made the process a lot easier and convenient for us. What he promises is absolutely delivered: it was FUN, definitely simple (I am still in awe), and the pricing is UNBEATABLE. After three lessons, we learned the basic skills to dance together, a range of moves for wow-factor, and how to put together a dance! We will definitely be able to remember everything he taught us for a long time to come! Overall, Josh did an OUTSTANDING job and went over and beyond what we expected. We absolutely had an amazing experience learning to dance and have fun/look good doing it! Definitely recommending to family and friends! Thanks, Josh!Jun 23, 2015Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I'll make this simple. Three lessons, and you're set to look good and have fun dancing together, for the rest of your life. To all kinds of music. We can do more lessons on request of course, but that's what I find works best for most couples. I do standalone lessons at $80 a pop, and the three-lesson package for $200 even.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I've taught young fiances, retirees looking to learn something fun, and groups up to 300 people.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? What does your picture of "success" look like for you after dance lessons? Your answer should completely change what kind of instructor you choose. Some want to start learning olympic-level ballroom dancing, and plan to regularly go to ballrooms in the foreseeable future to dance. That's great - I've done that - but not what I teach now. I find that most just want to look good and have fun together more informally - to maybe not embarrass themselves at weddings, or add a nice date night activity to their list. That's what I teach.
