Wedding and Event Catering
Chef Scott Sunshine and his team were great, punctual, catered food was good and cleaned up well at the end. Will definitely reach out to them for our next event.Sep 24, 2018Verified
Scott is fantastic and continually goes above and beyond. We planned our 25 person wedding weekend entirely from out of town, and couldn't have done it without Scott. From our first emails and Skype conversations, Scott made us feel heard and cared for -- something we definitely did not feel from the other four chefs we met with. He provided clear menu options and helped tailor the perfect selections, including accommodating our halal and vegetarian guests. Months later, our guests are still raving about the meal Scott prepared and entire experience he delivered. Beyond catering the evening, Scott and his team helped us evaluate the venue, find and acquire the linens & place settings, pick out & deliver flowers, and purchase food for the rest of the weekend. We highly recommend Scott as both a chef and as a trusted advisor with a big heart.Sep 4, 2017VerifiedChef Scott Sunshine's reply
I still love you guys and hope all is well. As an aside, my older son and his family are moving to Barington, RI, Sonora (our granddaughter's favorite ice cream...Purple.
Chef Scott created a memorable dinner for my wife's retirement. The four courses were all delicious and nicely presented. The surf & turf main course had fabulous crab cakes. We included an assistant who served all the dishes and cleaned up as well. It was a great night and really allowed us to spend with our guests. Chef Scott came to the house prior to the big night and to finalize the menu. He is a great guy and really interested in tailoring the menu to what you want.Oct 1, 2018Verified
Private Cooking Lessons
Be clear on whether or not the lesson will be hands on for everyone. Don’t promise a commercial venue then change to your home. Allow all members of the class to participate and taste the completed dishes. Don’t overprice for the amount of prep and materials actually requiredSep 24, 2018VerifiedChef Scott Sunshine's reply
You are correct, I had a health issue which impacted the venue, as to participation and pricing, I clearly did not understand what you were looking for, I can only offer another lesson on me. Thank you for the honest review
Chef Scott helped me to plan an anniversary dinner. When I called, he spent time with me asking questions and learning about the event as well as sharing a few menu ideas. Chef Scott answered all my questions and is clearly an experienced professional. I am impressed with Chef Scott and look forward to scheduling his services.Jun 3, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our PERSONAL CHEF MEALS are full restaurant quality meals and are priced accordingly, now inexpensive but worth the food and service. With LESSONS there is a base price which is modified to the needs of the student(s) When we do an EVENT, SERVICE is KING. We listen to your needs and do our best to go above and beyond. Whether a intimate dinner for two or a drop off for 300.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I start with a 10 minute call to discuss the client's needs and wants. I LISTEN! The goal is to give the guest what they want whether food or learning
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have several levels of certifications relating to both sanitation and management as well as having been a Culinary Educator for years
