There are no words to express our gratitude to BDL Painter’s for reviving our old 1909 farmhouse. When we bought this house 2 years ago she had been painted with a boring, drab gray trim. It was so depressing driving up to this house every day. I knew immediately that I wanted to paint the trim black. I had horrible experiences with people recommended on my community facebook page so I decided to try Thumbtack which I’ve used in the past. Whoever I chose I wanted to make sure that the company would take care of my historic home. Ken was one of the first companies to respond and I found him very friendly and knowledgable. He didn’t bully or pressure me to make a decision and while viewing my home offered to replace some wood spots that rotted including the stairs going off our back porch. I did a couple other quotes but ultimately decided to go with BDL because of the wood work they included in the quote in addition to the painting. Ken and his crew spent 8 days total out at our property (including a Saturday) in horrible 90-100 degree weather. The communication was excellent as they notified me every day when they were coming, if they were going to be late, and when they were leaving for the day. They would notice additional items that needed to be repaired and offered to fix them for us. Because they were doing such a good job I asked them towards the end of the project if they could do some additional work to install beadboard on our back porch as well as paint my porch ceilings the traditional Southern Haint Blue. Ken didn’t even baulk at my request and immediately gave me a price for the additional work and started it the next day they came out. His crew took such good care of the property as they worked, cleaned up every day and just did overall exceptional work. We are absolutely in love with the way our house looks now and would highly recommend them to anyone!

They did a great job with my exterior painting job! Came in almost $1,000 under another offer I got, with what I feel is comparable quality. We had a bit of a mixup in communication and they painted my gutter spouts white (I wanted them blue like the brick to blend in) and they quickly repainted them without issue. Very neat, tidy work. Loved the outcome!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we get our costumer information we call them to discuss their project
- get to know more about the project and expectations costumer has
- suggest something if necessary for a better result
- explain them how the process will be from start to finish of the project .
-do the estimate and email or text it to them
- once we answered questions on the estimate if any , we proceed to schedule a time to start the project .
- before the project is done, we make sure to let them know 1-2 hours before the project is completed so they can see the final result
- once costumer is satisfied with the work , we proceed to get the payment .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
This is a family who started this company after working for about 15 years in the painting industry . We been in the process of a lot of projects done by our selfs , we know the result of each step .
How did you get started doing this type of work?
She found us on google, we schedule a time and went to talk details with her about the project .
