We are a family of five, and our home was starting to feel a little cramped. We decided to finish two unfinished basement spaces that had been serving as storage, utility, and extra bedroom areas. From the moment Moogie stepped into our home, she felt like family.
She truly listens to what you want, accommodates your vision, and offers thoughtful suggestions when you're unsure of the best direction to take. One thing I appreciated most was her honesty. She isn't the cheapest contractor, nor is she the most expensive—she falls right in that sweet spot where you feel completely comfortable with both the quality of her work and the value she provides.
I remember standing in a flooring store on a Sunday afternoon, texting her pictures of colors and options. Even on her day off, she was responding with energy, guidance, and helpful suggestions. That's exactly the kind of person you want overseeing a project that will improve your family's daily life.
The entire renovation took only about six weeks, and throughout the process, Moogie was incredibly dedicated. She was on-site every day, meeting with her team, reviewing plans, and keeping us informed about what was happening that day, the next day, and beyond. Communication was exceptional. If I ever had a question, I could simply send her a text, and she was always there to help. That level of accessibility and transparency brought tremendous peace of mind.
The finished rooms exceeded every expectation. In fact, they're so beautiful that the rest of the house is jealous!
One of my favorite features is the bedroom's sliding barn door and matching closet door. Early in the design process, I told Moogie I wanted something unique and eye-catching, and she absolutely delivered. She found a stunning barn door and perfectly coordinated it with the closet door—the hardware, color, trim, and overall design are simply gorgeous. It has become the centerpiece of the room.
She also transformed a challenging window area into a charming built-in seating nook, turning what could have been an awkward feature into a beautiful focal point. That's one of Moogie's greatest talents: every design challenge our home presented, she transformed into something beautiful.
Thank you, Moogie! I could not have asked for a better experience. I work in construction and have worked with many contractors over the years. I've completed numerous projects in my home, and without question, this was the best renovation experience I've ever had. Not only did I gain an incredible contractor, but I gained a friend. I fully expect to pull her away from work every now and then for a cup of coffee because she is truly one of the most unique and remarkable women I've ever met.

A I love my kitchen remodel!! Avenir Kitchen and Bath made my wishes a reality. I felt like part of the team planning the design. Beautiful, practical suggestions were given that enhanced my vision. Every step of the construction was supervised, checked and communicated daily. Specific skilled tradesmen were used for each category of work. I cannot imagine a more dedicated, caring and efficient team. I would highly recommend this group.

Recently had a custom-design order with Avenir Kitchen in December to install a new kitchen top and remodel some of the interior panelling. Moogie was very professional and came even on a Saturday to make measurements on some of the countertops. Lovely experience

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer fair and competitive cost
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an initial consultation to determine the size of your project, measure spaces, timelines, etc. After that, we will provide a scope of work and estimate. Once we have a price agreement, then your designer will draft CAD rendering of your space with the actual measurements. 3D rendered images will give you a realistic visualization of your would be new space which is exciting. After that we will update the scope of work with any changes you requested, and move on to signing the contract. Once the contact is signed, then we move on to logistics of ordering cabinets, fixtures, materials, etc. We will have a checklist of items before scheduling the start date. Once your project starts, then we manage it on a daily and weekly basis and will update you of any changes that may occur with schedule due to weather, inspections, etc. We usually finish all our projects on time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an engineer by trade who moved on to interior design and the remodeling industry about 6 years ago. I worked for several well known design-build firms as a designer and project manager, then senior designer, before founding Avenir Kitchen and Bath.
