I've been acting and performing for more than 20 years, in a variety of settings: competitive, professional, and community theatre. My approach blends the fundamentals of psychology, literary analysis, and vulnerable expression to unlock authentic performances— not by reliving your trauma, but by understanding your character’s internal landscape. I guide actors through a cognitive-behavioral lens: How does this character think? What do they believe about themselves and the world? From that deep exploration, everything else flows— speech, movement, decisions, reactions and relationships. I also believe that language is where great acting begins. Deep reading and thoughtful analysis of any text, both at the micro level (word choice and phrasing), and at the macro level (themes and plot), is a fundamental tool for any actor to deepen their craft authentically. Together, we’ll explore literary intention as a guidepost for your choices and how to meet the material with clarity, insight, and emotional grounding. I specialize in character work rooted in psychological realism and literary depth, drawing inspiration from Meisner techniques and my background in understanding trauma, resilience, and emotional transformation.
