VETERAN OWNED & OPERATED. We at Rockstar Fire and Stone pride ourselves in building some of the most extraordinary stone patios, outdoor fireplaces and custom hardscape projects in the DMV. Fireplace conversions have also played a large part in our recent growth whether it be a wood burning to gas conversion or a traditional to modem fireplace surround. We are a small family owned and operated business with a large amount of loyal clientele. The foundation of our company is built on repeat business not to mention many have become good friends over the years. Teddy was utterly amazing. I literally have nothing bad to say. Especially as someone who is a new homeowner and not the most handy, Teddy walked me through the process step-by-step. He was extremely responsive and made sure we were on the same page before starting. Perhaps most importantly, his prices were reasonable - nearly 1/3 of the estimates I received from other Thumbtack pros. I wish Teddy did other types of renovations because I would definitely use him for other things (unfortunately I only have one fireplace!)

Hired Homestar for a chimney cleaning, chimney crown repair, furnace flue stack painting and cap replacement. Teddy quoted me the best price out of 4 estimates. Finding someone who takes genuine pride in their work can be a challenge in this day and age. Teddy is one of those people. He treated my house as if it was his own, did not try to up-sell any unneeded work and only did what he felt was necessary. He didn't leave until HE was satisfied the job was done correctly. Very detail oriented. Will definitely hire him again for additional work I need.
