I had our land surveyed and found that our neighbor was over the line with his fence. Also, the contractor had to come back and extend the width of our back yard by 5 feet and laid sod. The cost was really good and saved us money. Well worth the expense when you move into a house, new construction, or old. This is something that you need to do right away.

Steven and Carlos at Insite Geomatics were a pleasure to work with. The whole experience was great, and I definitely feel like I got value out of the work they did, and the plat that was drawn. Not only were they the least expensive compared to two other survey companies, Insite Geomatics was able to survey my land extremely quickly, both with scheduling, as well as time to complete the actual survey. I received both a .pdf of the land survey (which is invaluable to submit modifications to the HOA) but also professionally printed plats for my own records. Steven also provided me with the linear footage for the fence I wanted installed to ensure I did not get taken for a ride by the fencing company. All of the timelines and expectations were outlined before work was started and met. I have zero complaints with Insite Geomatics, and only positive things to say.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our minimum fee for any service is $650. We have had clients which hire us on a hourly not to exceed bases, in which case our rate is $145 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our clients contact us through the Thumbtack website, then we setup a date and time to speak by phone. After we complete each project, we walk the property with the owner so they throughly understand what they are paying for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The education I received was a four year program sponsored by the Virginia Association of Surveyors.
