Hello!
My name is Stephen Higdon and my biggest passion in life is helping kids develop on and off the field!
I have over a decade of coaching experience of all ages of soccer from 3 and 4 year olds all the way up to 19 year olds. My coaching experience is with VSA at both the travel and rec levels, private lessons, and I am currently the varsity coach for Unity Reed High Schools girls team.
I grew up in Northern Virginia playing for VSA at the travel level and for Patriot High School.

We had a fantastic experience with Coach Stephen! He worked with my kid in private soccer lessons, and the improvement in both skills and confidence was incredible. Coach Stephen is patient, positive, and really knows how to connect with kids. He breaks things down in a way that’s easy to understand, and every session was focused, fun, and encouraging.
My kid looked forward to every lesson and always came away learning something new. Whether it was improving footwork, passing accuracy, or game awareness, Coach Stephen made a real difference. He’s clearly passionate about soccer and teaching, and it shows.

We had Stephen coach our son and we saw improvement almost immediately. What was more important was how he grew our son’s confidence and love for the game. He is an incredible coach and connects with his players, getting the absolute most out of them. The very best thing about Coach Higdon is how he really focuses on teaching the kids to love to play. To enjoy the process. He’s amazing at building teamwork skills and connecting with kids on their level. My son was under his guidance for 3 seasons and he just loved him.
