- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All quoted prices are subject to Virginia's sales tax. Video services can be ordered individually or, for better value, grouped into packages. These packages range from economy to premium. All jobs outside a 30 mile radius of Richmond will incur travel charges. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet with the customer, either in person or on the phone, to discuss the details of their event. For weddings, concerts, etc. I attend the rehearsal to ensure that I know what will take place when, where to place my cameras, any special equipment required, etc. After the event I stay in touch with the customer as the final product is created.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Charles Batteau Video Services was begun in reaction to the poor quality of the video recordings of our children's high school graduations and, before that, their school plays, chorus recitals, etc. I knew that it should be possible to have a quality video recording at a reasonable cost that everybody would enjoy. It was a few years between the graduation and the first wedding video; however, after that, "the cow had escaped from the barn" and has been out in the field ever since. I have been a serious photographer for many years and also work with producing the TV broadcast of worship services and other events at First Baptist Church, Richmond.
