FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is not complicated although it may be formidable. If it is, it is so because of the level of commitment I offer, the relationships that I build and the personal investment I make.As well, I often drive many hours to and from the wedding. Anyone can read a wedding ceremony out of a book. Not everyone is licensed by the states and not everyone has a vested and personal relationship with her bride/groom.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have always believed in continuing education, as is evidenced by the fact that after I earned my first Master's degree, I went for another, resulting in becoming a Master of Sacred Music and an ordained Cantor. Following that, I decided to enter into another course of study resulting in my becoming an ordained Rabbi. I belong to many organizations that keep me aligned with what is going on out there. I hope never to stop learning.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was trained in NYC as a professional opera singer and had a career in opera for 13 years. Following those years and after much consideration, I decided to listen to my heart. My father had been a rabbi and it was constitutionally within me. I decided to go back to school and become an ordained cantor(which would keep me singing). I served major congregations as cantor for 25 years and once again followed my heart and became an ordained rabbi. I am very proud to offer myself as rabbi & cantor to the world community and to be doing work which affords me the opportunity for personal satisfaction.
