My old, wooden front and side porches had definitely seen better days. I kept putting off the inevitable task of replacing them until one day a handrail literally crumbled in my hand. I contacted Extreme Exteriors through Thumbtack and got a quote. The new porches were to be composite, and the side porch was to be enlarged. Admittedly, this was not going to be an inexpensive project, but the material should last a lifetime, the design was attractive and, overall, it should add significant value to the property.
Although we hit a few rough spots because of supply chain issues, the final product is quite impressive. The structures are very sturdy, very weather resistant, and the decking material is a close match to that of the house.
I am very pleased with the final result and would heartily recommend Extreme Exteriors to others.

I previously submitted a review for a job by this contractor. I would now change that review as follows: the small gutter job has been completed successfully. The gentleman who arrived to do the work were a day early but better than a day late. They were both polite and very professional. The work done was neat and post job clean up was perfect. We even discussed so additional work I might need in the future. Based on the work completed for me, I would recommend this group to friends who might need a contractor. Communications could be improved upon but I am very satisfied with the finished work.

We apologize again for the confusion of the timeline in which the work was expected to be completed. We will work on making sure our customers understand our timelines in the future to eliminate any 1 star reviews 2 weeks before the work was supposed to be completed. We always put our customers and our reputation first which is why I was willing to offer the job to you for no more than the 10% deposit you paid us when you signed. Thanks again for updating your review and I wish somehow we could change that from a 1 star to a 5 star!

Very pleased with the new deck! I appreciated his responsiveness. I had questions on the weekend and he answered via Thumbtack which I appreciated - didn't have to wait until Monday. Would use him again.

Chris is honest, professional and provides a high quality service. He installed five windows and replaced some siding on our house and it all looks equal if not better than a larger window company could do. There were a few supply issues that popped up that caused delays, all out of Chris' control, but he kept open communication and managed our expectations. I would recommend Certified Builders for any project they say they can handle and we will use them again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the project we do price by the square foot in most cases.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have an initial meeting to discuss the desires of the the customer. Once we come to a decision on what the customer desires I work up a plan and a cost. If the customer would like to proceed we sign a contract to protect both parties involved and start the project. Projects are negotiable but usually means reduction on project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All my experience has been through hands on trial and error. I have been in the industry myself for 20 plus years.
