About
My name is Melodie Vensko. I'm the lady behind the camera and who's sole purpose is to remind you of how gorgeous you are! For years I have worked with women, coaching them, and helping them get back to the inner badass they are. To remind them that they deserve to feel empowered! I'm sarcastic, love to laugh, and may be slightly addicted to coffee.
Beginning my chapter in Boudoir Photography was one of THE BEST decisions of my life. My sessions aren't just intimate photos. They tell a story......of a mother, sister, daughter, fighter, lover, survivor, etc. I absolutely love what I do and all of the amazing women I meet along the way! I love knowing we are helping so many women feel sexy, confident, and empowered!
My studio is located on Smith Mountain Lake, VA which is about 30 minutes from Roanoke and 60 minutes from Lynchburg.

At the very beginning of the process to select wedding vendors, I joined Thumbtack and Melodie was the first to reach out to me! We hired Melodie to photograph our wedding last month and we had such a pleasant experience. She is unbelievably easy to work with, professional and punctual and she has a great eye for details. Due to our hectic schedules, we were unable to meet before the wedding day but no one would have guessed. It wasn't awkward at all because she's SO personable (and funny too) and her interactions with my family and friends were very natural. She was great at giving directions for poses for clueless couples like us! Our ONLY regret is not hiring her for a longer time slot! Our pictures were delivered in a timely manner (we got previews in less than a day! HELLO?!) and she updated us on progress on editing them and asked if we wanted her to make any adjustments to her editing etc. Everyone loved our pictures! 10/10 would recommend without hesitation and looking forward to working with her again in the future!
