FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I take a 25 percent, non-refundable deposit to begin working on illustration and animation projects. After that, I divide the remaining balance on the project into quarters and they are due when project milestones are completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I have a discussion with my client and review manuscripts for picture books or just have a talk about what their vision is for a portrait or fine art piece. I will draft an estimate for the client and include milestones for work completion. The client will approve and sign the estimate and contract and work begins. See above for how payment works. I will issue invoices for each project milestone.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a A.F.A from Delaware College of Art and Design in Animation, where I graduated with high honors. I also have a B.F.A from Rhode Island School of Design in Film/Animation/Video. I have experience working in the advertising field as a motion graphics designer and editor, and experience working in the game industry as an editor.
