I found Edwin by referral from my dentist. I was looking for an architect to design a day care on the ground floor of my home on a 5 acres lot. I found out that he has designed several day care centers so I was pleased to have a referral to someone with experience. I've been very pleased with the designs and assistance this company has provided. Going through the permitting process can be daunting, but Edwin has been very helpful in guiding us through the process. He has told us what to anticipate and given us a conservative timeline so that we are not left with any last minute surprises. I have been very happy with Edwin's services and would gladly recommend his company based on my experience.

My construction company has completed many restaurant design projects with Edwin Lee Architects. We have used Edwin exclusively since 1990. We constantly hear feedback from clients that they love the spaces and ask who designed it. The end result is important but more so is our working relationship. Edwin has an incredible work ethic. He is very disciplined and always responsive to our needs. I need someone I can rely on to give prompt feedback during construction and his firm is always there for us. Some projects have been built on a really tight budget, but that has never deterred Edwin from taking the project. Small or large, his firm handles all types of projects. In addition to the designs that are always unique, but not overly so, Edwin is of great help when it comes to permits and other legal constraints in the permitting process. I've worked with Edwin so long now that we have become close friends. He is always coming up with new ideas and has an amazing thirst to learn about new materials and concepts in the building industry. This is a guy who will never retire. He lives to design and is a fountain of knowledge.

We met with more than 10 potential architects/designers for our restaurant remodeling project before we decided to hire Edwin Lee's firm. The restaurant is open and we could not be happier than we are right now because of our decision to hire Edwin. He is extremely knowledgeable about restaurant design, and health and building codes, which are especially important in restaurant projects. He and his team made sure their design elements met the government requirements and exceeded our aesthetic expectations in a way that any restauranteur would appreciate. From beginning to end, they were professional, responsive, proactive, and able to come up with multiple solutions to issues encountered during construction. Their design is so elegant and well matched with our concept and they managed to accomplish the project within our budget. They were flexible in all areas, whenever we called them and needed them on the job, they were available and could resolve the issue. They just made the project move along smoothly and timely. I feel that things could have turned out drastically different if we had not taken the time to truly go with an architect we felt could take on our project. I have recommended this firm to many customers and friends without hesitation. You can't get any better!

We hired this firm to put an addition on our house and ever since it's been built, we spend more time in the addition than anywhere else in our home. It's such an open, peaceful space and feels much larger than it really is. We are very happy with our experience with Edwin Lee Architects.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is mandatory in order to maintain an architectural license. Hanley University has continuing education programs in which we continually participate.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a love of architecture and I began with the design and construction of my own home. Friends and family saw my home and my business grew from there.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We spend a great amount of time on concept design. The client has to be totally satisfied before we start construction documents.
