Yes, I will drive to your house and provide an empowering piano lesson for FREE. I will plan a special activity with your favorite songs even as a complete beginner. Additionally, I will also teach you my "secret sauce recipe" to create beautiful melodies on the piano on the spot (also known as improvisation) even in the very first lesson.
My name is Sammie Vats and I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old. I was trained at the Coomber School of Music in Herndon, Virginia since I was in the first grade to the 12th grade. After graduating from high school, I went to study Piano Performance at Hollins University which is an all-women's institute about 45 minutes away from Virginia Tech. I completed a piano teaching certificate and a senior piano recital there.
I specialize in teaching piano through a harmonious balance of education, enjoyment, and excitement. You will learn to read musical notation and play your favorite songs with ease. I have developed several methods to read musical notation faster than the traditional method. Creative concepts such as improvisation and composition will also be taught to help put music theory into practice. I teach students as young as 3 and the oldest student I have ever taught was 80 years old.
I have an open song/composition policy. I am happy to teach you any song you like on the piano regardless of your level. I have special methods developed to help even the complete beginner play an exciting piece of music. Students will also be introduced to different styles of music to develop an appreciation for a variety of musical genres.
After my FREE trial lesson, my rates for in-home piano lessons are:
30 minutes- $50
45 minutes- $75
60 minutes - $100
You are NEVER charged for missed or cancelled lessons. You only pay for piano lessons that are completed. Other studios will still bill you even if you are sick and need to miss a lesson. I will never do that to you.
This is a great rate as most music stores in the area charge $45-$55 per half an hour lesson. You have to drive to them usually in heavy traffic. Then you have to spend extra money on gas and time driving. I conveniently come to you for about the same rate which saves you the hassle.

She is teaching my six year old son and was kind enough to bring an electronic piano to our house so we could try out lessons before committing to a piano purchase. She is very nice and asked for my son's favorite songs in advance. She brought the sheet music for his favorite song to the first lesson and is bringing another song for his second lesson; I believe this will keep him engaged and makes learning more fun.
FYI, we tried a one-hour session at Bach to Rock in our nearby shopping center. There were six other kids and it seemed like our son didn't get that much instruction or attention for our money. Ms. Saumya is very hands on, gave our son her undivided attention, and I believe she is very competitively priced. I would recommend her and will post updates as our son moves further along in his studies.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My first lesson is FREE and at your house. After that, I charge
$50 per 30 minute lesson
$75 per 45 minute lesson
$100 per 60 minute lesson
You are NEVER charged for missing a lesson or for being sick like other companies do. My rate is about the same as a physical music store that you have to waste time and gas driving to. I conveniently come to your house for the same rate.

I ask every new student what their musical goals are and what songs they are hoping to be able to play on the piano.
