Margo "The GofDoc" is a wonderful instructor! From the moment we met I knew she had years of knowledge and expertise to share. And for a new student it was exactly what I needed in order to get up to speed quickly. She truly cares about her student's success and from the first lesson to the first time playing on the golf course her patience and instruction made my golf game experience extremely fun and enjoyable! Thank you Margo :)

My siblings and I purchased several lessons for our golf-loving Dad for his birthday. He doesn't have Thumbtack, so he forwarded his feedback to me to post. This is my Dad's review: "I avoided golflessons out of fear that I would be told I was doing everything wrong. Margo helped me feel comfortable very quickly. She is so encouraging and down to earth. She told me, in a manner I could believe, that I was not doing everything wrong and in fact that I had a nice swing. She introduced two changes, suggesting a change in my grip and a release in my swing. To my great surprise, my slice, which I thought would be with me forever, disappeared. I know it may resurface and I have a ways to go, but after just one lesson with Margo, my feelings about lessons have been transformed. I now and looking forward to my upcoming lessons and am confident that Margo can and will help me to improve my game."

Margo is a knowledgeable sweetheart that worked patiently with me as I attempted to learn golf quickly in a crunch setting for an upcoming tournament. Having her as a coach made a huge difference to the way I played, even after just 3 lessons. She was very perceptive in reading all the the issues that needed correcting in my stance, swing, aim etc. and will be the only coach I go to ! She is I an excellent human being and I can't wait to work with her again!

The GofDoc's reply
Hi Dr. Mudit,
You are most generous with your kind words and thoughts. Yes, indeed, we did have a marathon lesson bout, and I hope you came up a winner. I was sorry the other week my schedule did not avail me the opportunity to get with you-as I have noticed a few minor things we need to work on in the posture which will help you get in the right position to keep the club on plane, so to speak. So, whenever your schedule permits, please call me-I owe you one, and I want to make those minor changes, please. Mudit, you're a great individual, a real asset to the Medical Society, and before you know it, you will be a golfer extraordinaire.
Thanks a million-and for the honor of working with you,
Margo

I looked up golflessons online and it sent me to thumbtack, with several golf pros in the Richmond area. I was offered 2 choices, and I elected to go with the 1st. I gave Margo Stoneking a shot.
I had previously played about 15 rounds of golf before lessons. And realized that I definitely needed lessons if I was going to continue playing this ridiculously frustrating game. Margo taught me the basics of grip, stance, swing, follow through, and it was 100% effective! She is excellent in teaching the basic fundamentals, which was exactly what I was looking for! I've had multiple lessons to learn everything about this game, and how to be successful at it. I have even played a round of golf, WITH 1 ball! Which for those of you who've tried it, and lost dozens every time you play, she has been the difference maker. Bottom line- you would have to be an absolute, total moron to NOT hire her!
The GofDoc's reply
Hi Andrew,
I am more than derelict in getting back to you about your kind review. Undoubtedly, you are one of my favorite students in all of the years I have taught. Your determination, coordination, desire, and talent is parallel to none. I know you get frustrated when that slice creeps in, but, I'm confident that with a review in the Springtime, you'll have your best year yet at golf. I really enjoy teaching you.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently running a special-3 one hour lessons for $135, normally $150.00. I accept cash or check and the only additional expense you'd incur is for range balls.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I get my new students to fill out a Profile Sheet, and then we chat briefly, so, I can get some background information as to what level of golfer you are, what your goals are, how much time you have to practice. Then, we take a 7 iron, and start hitting range balls, while I videotape you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I became a United States Golf Teaching Federation Professional in 2004. I have over 50 years experience playing this game for fun and competitively. I learned the game from one of the greats in Richmond, the late Leo Steinbrecher, Golf Pro Emeritus, from Richmond Country Club.
