I am a United States Golf Teachers Federation Associate Member-the Leader in the Field of Golf Instruction. You should hire me for my passion for golf and proven abilities. I have experience-I've been teaching since 2004 and playing since 1965. I have exceptional drive and determination for ALL OF MY STUDENTS to succeed. I have unique skills in teaching that separate me from other instructors. My students feel comfortable as I do my very best to develop a repore' with you. The lessons are informative and fun. My siblings and I purchased several lessons for our golf-loving Dad for his birthday. He doesn't have Thumbtack, so he forwarded his feedback to me to post. This is my Dad's review: "I avoided golf lessons out of fear that I would be told I was doing everything wrong. Margo helped me feel comfortable very quickly. She is so encouraging and down to earth. She told me, in a manner I could believe, that I was not doing everything wrong and in fact that I had a nice swing. She introduced two changes, suggesting a change in my grip and a release in my swing. To my great surprise, my slice, which I thought would be with me forever, disappeared. I know it may resurface and I have a ways to go, but after just one lesson with Margo, my feelings about lessons have been transformed. I now and looking forward to my upcoming lessons and am confident that Margo can and will help me to improve my game."

I thoroughly enjoyed my first golf lesson with Margo. I am a complete beginner at the game, but Margo's excellent instruction and constant positive reinforcement really helped me hit my stride and find a natural swing that worked for me- she is not only an exceptional coach, but also a great cheerleader! She was quickly able to identify and correct issues with my swing and helped set me on the path to start practicing competently on my own. The videos she takes during the lesson are a great way to further analyze your swing even after the lesson has concluded. I am really looking forward to further improving my skill and understanding of the game, and the time spent with Margo during her lessons is very motivating. I will definitely be booking more lessons in the future!

I'm a beginner golfer, 22 years old. I'm only on my second lesson and I can already see such an improvement. She even met me on my day off at golf galaxy to help me find some clubs that would suit me better! She genuinely cares about getting you to be the golfer you want to be. This is not just a job to her, she truly enjoys helping you get your swing better, and she is great at what she does. I look forward to more lessons.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently running a special-3 one hour lessons for $135, normally $150.00. I accept cash or check and the only additional expense you'd incur is for range balls.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I get my new students to fill out a Profile Sheet, and then we chat briefly, so, I can get some background information as to what level of golfer you are, what your goals are, how much time you have to practice. Then, we take a 7 iron, and start hitting range balls, while I videotape you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I became a United States Golf Teaching Federation Professional in 2004. I have over 50 years experience playing this game for fun and competitively. I learned the game from one of the greats in Richmond, the late Leo Steinbrecher, Golf Pro Emeritus, from Richmond Country Club.
