- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved the beauty industry since childhood, but I decided to begin Transformations Artistry when I became a part of RVA Fashion Week in 2012 and networked with other artists who owned private businesses on the side. Seeing the joy it brought them and the level of professionalism that they carried inspired me to do the very same. It made a career in makeup artistry a reality when I thought that I wasn't "good" or "seasoned" enough (at 21 years old) to do such a thing. I had worked for worldwide makeup companies for a while but didn't feel a real "love" for what I was doing at the counter although I loved working with makeup still. I desired to see clients on a more personal level than just in a mall or boutique environment and to develop relationships with women in their special moments of life.
