FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is fair, transparent, and based on the specific details of each project. Estimates include both materials and labor, with no hidden fees. Larger projects are typically divided into progress payments (draws) based on milestones. We don’t charge for initial estimates, and we occasionally offer discounts for repeat customers or bundled projects. Any changes or additions requested during the job are clearly discussed and approved before work continues.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a quick conversation to understand your project goals, then schedule a site visit for measurements and details. After that, you’ll receive a clear written estimate with materials, labor, and timeline outlined. Once approved, we set a start date and keep you updated every step of the way. When the job’s done, we do a final walkthrough to make sure you’re completely satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 10 years of experience in woodworking and construction, including 5 years specializing in detailed finish work and custom carpentry. I’m a Virginia Class B licensed contractor with hands-on experience in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, framing, and fine woodcraft. My training comes from years of fieldwork, mentorship under skilled tradesmen, and continuous learning to stay current with modern building codes and techniques.
