A+++. Would definitely hire again. Needed 2nd story deck repaired, practically replaced. Came to give estimate promptly, and negotiated on pricing to fit my budget. Didn't balk at the distance between his home and mine. Came back with his team first thing in the morning a few days later with all supplies needed and got right to work. Finished at the end of day. Not only did the quality of the work exceed my expectations, they went the extra mile to make other improvements to the project at no extra charge. Quality work, efficient, friendly and professional team. No drama, no issues. Can tell they know what they're doing, but also actually care about what they do and value leaving a job well done. Really appreciated all the extra tips on other projects I have going on. Will hire again.

Mario did an excellent job replacing three rotted deck boards on our back deck! He was on time, worked efficiently, and gave us exactly what we needed. He was friendly, tidy, and clearly takes pride in his work. Highly recommend Mario for any deck repairs!

Mario and team were punctual, professional and did top quality work. He took the time to explain everything; show me the materials he was using and answered all my questions. Mario also called out a few maintenance items and why they were important without any high pressure. They did a superb job at a fair price and took pride in their efforts. left the site cleaner than when they arrived. I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future. :-)

Hiring VA Construction Company was one of the best decisions we've made as homeowners. From start to finish the experience was excellent and they far exceeded our expectations. We've hired many contractors in the past, only to be a little disappointed with the finished product. VA Construction Company, did great craftsmanship work on both our front porch and deck. We hired them to make repairs and ended with practically a brand new porch and deck. Along the way we kept throwing adjustments and more work their way and there were no complaints. They gave their professional advice for the adjustments and proceeded bring everything to life. The pricing was more than reasonable, they beat every other quote that was given. And they didn't substitute quality for a better price. They delivered with great quality. They gave insights on why the repairs were needed to begin with and what they would do to correct the problems. The entire team was very professional the entire time and very respectful of our family. They arrived for work promptly every morning and even worked overtime to ensure they were delivering a great product. If you're thinking or in the market to hire contractors for your project, do yourself a favor and hire VA Construction Company. You won't regret it. They are very knowledgeable and skilled in practically all areas of home construction. We will certainly work with them again in the future and we fully refer them to family, friends and other consumers alike.

First I want to say that not all contractors on Thumbtack are skilled. My success rate with contractors from this platform is about 75/25. But let’s talk about Mario, he came out today Saturday and had to correct a deck issue I had from a semi botched job by another contractor. He assessed the issue earlier in the week and fixed it today. When I met him for the evaluation. Within a few minutes I was impressed with his knowledge and how he presented himself. He did a professional repair job on a rather large 2nd story deck of my home. He is VERY personable. Hard not to like the guy. I had an outside band board that required nail removal and lag bolts put in to correct the nails pulling away from several deck boards and support beams. He knocked it out in a readable time with a reasonable price. He does a lot of other trades as well. After he completed the work I contracted him for I had him come up and look at one board on the edge of the deck that had also pulled away and he adjusted it with proper deck screws and flattened it right out no extra charge. I highly recommend this guy. In my younger years I flipped homes, was a home inspector and Realtor for two decades and I can honestly say if you need almost any type of work. Reach out to him first let him assess your project(s) and see what he has to say before calling several different contractors. You will be pleasantly surprised by him. I was. Thank you Mario! Appreciate it greatly.
