Private Swim Lessons
I've always stayed away from pools, rivers, and basically any area near water like that because I didn't know how to swim or what to do if I was ever in danger. I didn't really know what to expect when I called up Darlene to inquire about swimming lessons but after working with her for the past month and a half, I'm glad I chose her to be my teacher. She taught me how to properly breathe in the water, various safety techniques if I'm ever in danger in the water, and strokes to move in the water. During my lessons, Darlene was very personable, knowledgeable and patient. She never got angry when I didn't swim correctly and she always asked what I wanted to practice more of after I learned the basics. She was also very flexible with my schedule and when I wanted to take my lessons. After finishing these swimming lessons, I can now say that I'm confident enough to be in the water by myself but I've also learned that I do still need to practice since I'm not quite a master at swimming just yet. I've realized that learning how to swim takes time and that you need to be patient with yourself if you're having trouble learning something. I'm sure I'll call her again in the future if I need more help but for now, I'm going to continue to practice what she taught me and become a better swimmer in due time. If you're looking for a good swimming teacher then I recommend Darlene to be your first pick.Oct 25, 2019Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge 65.00 for a Food & Lifestyle Evaluation for a one hour talk. My 6 month Health Coaching program ranges between 195.00 -120.00 per month depending on the needs of the individual. Programs can be modified to client coaching style and budget: pay as you go sessions, an 8 week weight lose/health and fitness coaching program etc. (hourly fee ranges between 25.00 and 75.00) Other services are based on type of therapies and are paid in full at time of service. Bio- Energetics EAV testing is 75.00 per hour and does not include cost of supplements or homeopathic medicine.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always begin with a Food & Lifestyle Evaluation, otherwise known as a health history. This is a valuable tool for both the client and practitioner to help find the root cause of a health challenge. This F&L Eval. puts the pieces of the puzzle together on why a client maybe stuck where they are in there illness, pain, disease or weight. We begin by fixing the problem instead of giving it a temporary band-aid. This one hour F&L consultation determines what program and therapies would best serve the client. An EAV test is also recommended to measure the overall health of the individual. This test includes all major organs, the autonomic system, lymphatic system and endocrine system. It is recommended that any imbalance in these organs and systems be corrected with a protocol of homeopathic, bio-energetic medicine and supplements designed specifically for that individual. Coachability and consistence is required by client to ensure proper healing to meet every health challenge. I will get your there one step at a time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I hold certification by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I am a Schwinn Cycle Trainer and Personal Trainer and hold many certification in Group exercise and other certifications in BARR, and Balance and Stability Ball. You may have noticed under license badge it has been left empty. This is do to Thumbtack does not badge certifications only licenses. However I do continue to maintain my license in cosmetology with 3 decades of experience in skincare, nutritional supplements and weight lose products, and self-care services (manicures, waxing, basic facials). I have an advanced certificate in nails through Christine Valmay of N.Y. and for many years I cut and styled hair and was the owner of a salon and spa. I furthered my education in scalp massage from Aveda and Bio Elements, and continued advance education in basic facials with Bio Elements. Today I practice in my certification in AromaTouch (essential oil therapy) and continually train and practice Bio-energetic Medicine in EAV testing (electro-dermal acupuncture by Dr. Voll) and homeopathic medicine. During my radio show,' Happy and Healthy Living with Darlene Godwin', and today I am always involved in research, reading, webinars, and seminaries to further my understanding of disease and how to heal the body naturally through cellular communication, that is why I chose ASEA redox signalling molecules supplement to add into my practice and continue to train in this science and technology of redox. Let me educated you in better food choices and give you the tools you need to heal your body naturally.
