About
I have post graduate education in both English and Spanish and years of experience working with both languages. I believe that language education should be tailored to the students interests to create a positive attitude towards learning. I enjoy teaching students that have the interest not only to learn the language but also the culture. I'm from Venezuela but I have lived in Mexico and Spain and traveled to several South American countries. I enjoy incorporating the rich cultural background in my lessons.

Aura was an excellent Spanish tutor that we used for developing conversational Spanish for our work travels. She made the lessons each week enjoyable and engaging. Aura was always flexible and understanding when we had to cancel last minute or reschedule. Will hire again!

I have been taking lessons with Aura since January of 2017. I came with some knowledge from classes I had taken back in high school but I had not used the language since. I recently began working with a client in Mexico and really wanted to expand my Spanish vocabulary. She has been wonderful. Not only does she tailor the lessons for you, she also provides resources with which you can keep up your studying outside of the lessons. In addition to using her for tutoring, I have recently recommended her to my superiors for translating some of our contracts since she has a background in law. She has been a wonderful resource for developing my professional Spanish vocabulary and a joy to work with. I would highly recommend her.

My 12 year old son has only had two one hour lessons with Aura, and my husband and I are amazed at how much he has learned. My son was very excited to have a Spanish class this year, but the class ended up being cancelled. We decided to find a tutor, and it is one of the best decisions we have made. My son is committed to learning the language which helps, but Aura is fabulous. She is patient, and seems to naturally be able to gauge where he is at in ability - challenges him, but doesn't overwhelm him. At the end of his second lesson, he showed us a page of sentences he wrote! I would recommend Aura to anyone. Our older son will be starting lessons as well in a few months.

She is very personable and easy to work with. She came very prepared with materials and has a unique way of teaching which I find will be more beneficial for my ability to become fluent in the beautiful language of Spanish. I am very much looking forward to continuing my lessons with her.
