About this pro

How does your business stand out?

I've been practicing for 20 years. I have a great deal of positive experience treating all types of musculoskeletal pains; asthma and eczema. I have also worked for years successfully treating allergies and immune disorders. Laser acupuncture is the primary form of treatment that I utilize. It is completely non-invasive and pain free. Because of this, I am able to comfortably treat patients from infancy to old age.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I have always found it satisfying to be able to help others overcome their health issues. I strive to treat patients as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Jake has been my primary health care provider for over 8 years now, and he has had a major impact on my health and my life. I find him to be an outstanding listener (I'm not a big talker, but I can tell him anything and often talk his ear off), and he always respects my experiences and my role in caring for my own health; I feel like he's always eager to help, but he never takes control away from me or makes me feel guilty. He's an excellent acupuncturist and a very kind person. He always makes an effort to fit me in if I'm having an emergency, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my treatment. I highly recommend Jake Avancena as an acupuncturist!

Jake has been an absolute ray of hope for me in my battle with Lyme disease. I've been seeing him for the last year, and he has been a huge help in relieving my symptoms. He discovered and treated both food and environmental allergens that I had no idea I was battling. I couldn't figure out why I was experiencing red, swollen hands and shortness of breath after eating. Who knew I was sensitive to melon, gluten, mold, and the list goes on. Jake's acupuncture treatments always offer relief for my numbness and achy joints. Lyme is a disease with many ups and downs, and I always experience my good days of more energy, less numbness and less brain fog after an acupuncture session. What I love most about Jake is his compassion for his patients. He's gone above and beyond for me to do extensive research on Lyme and to incorporate the latest new protocols to help me. For his care, his professionalism and his desire to get his patients well, I highly recommend Jake with Acupuncture Advantage Care.
