From the very beginning the entire process went very smoothly. Kevin was very responsive and sent a sample menu right away. With his help, my husband and I treated our guests to a really amazing evening. The starters set the tone for the night, and my friends did not need to be told twice to find their place at the table! I can't say what I loved most? The food was outstanding, but it was not only the menu that made the night so special. Kevin and Devin were a pleasure! We all loved to hear about their background and their shared love of cooking. Our friends were blown away..."over the top" was a phrase used more than once to describe the night. I received so many calls and text the following day, which is a very good indication that the party was a HUGE success. I spent the late evening planning when we could host our next party so we could have them back again! (Not only to enjoy another relaxed night, but to try more of the fantastic food!!!)

This was my first private chef experience as a surprise gift for my husband for our 5th year wedding anniversary. I am a consultant by trade and from start to finish my experience was exceptional. Kevin was incredibly communicative, patient and explained the process well. He helped me navigate menu choices and was accommodating with changes. They came on time, brought everything they needed including dinner settings ( which I didn't anticipate). They navigated our small all electric kitchen well, both him and Devine were friendly and incredibly entertaining while they prepared out meals. They truly make you feel as if you just met a friend. This is a high value aspect considering you are inviting strangers into your home in a very close proximity and intimate setting. The food was completely on point, delicious and my vegetarian meal was fantastic and unique. I have dined at several Michelin star restaurants hosting client meals for work. These two 110% bring Michelin into your own home. Everything was well prepared, the flavor profiles were well composed, unique and the presentation was beautiful. They even were very comfortable with our two dogs and made them feel at ease with the new visitors very quickly. It was honestly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and I look forward to our private cooking lesson in which I also got my husband and additional bookings for the 2020 year.

I hired Kevin and Devin White, owners of Gastrolove for my daughter’s 30th birthday. I have never hired private chefs before so had no idea what to expect or where begin. They walked me through the process of picking out a menu, and suggested wine pairings for each course. While I was getting dressed for the party, they were in my kitchen creating culinary genius! The meal was five star quality, my guest were talking about it for an entire week. The main course consisted of a potato crusted rockfish with old bay hollandaise and citrus salad. The desserts were the shining jewel of the dinner. Chef Devin made the most delicious and beautiful dessert bar with a personal lemon and mascarpone cake for the birthday girl. Kevin and Devin are top rate chefs and so personable, we enjoyed not only their food but them. I can’t wait to have a reason to hire them again. If it’s a memorable evening with five star dining you want higher GASTROLOVE, you will not be disappointed. This is a dynamic duo for sure.

Kevin and Devin were nothing short of amazing in every respect. For our birthday party celebration, Kevin prepared an amazing first course of pasta (made by Kevin) primavera. For the entre Kevin prepared spectacular smoked rockfish that exploded with wonderful flavors. Devin made an incredible chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream. This astoundingly delicious dinner would rival servings from any well established restaurant in the DC area. Kevin and Devin also set a beautiful table with copper chargers and beautiful linen napkins. Perfetto.
