I'm new to Thumbtack! As a home designer, I'm trained to design for lived-in homes, homes for sale, and vacation homes for rent -- all with different expectations for how the spaces are used and enjoyed. After over 20 years managing real estate, I started designing after seeing the impact of a well designed home and how it makes people feel. My goal is to create great designs for economy and trade budgets, using my signature style of contrasts and complements. I hope to elevate the style, make the process enjoyable, and have you feel joy when you walk in your designed space.
No design, marketing, or improvement project is complete without professional photography. I'm an approved partner photographer for a national home management company, and have experience designing, staging, and adjusting spaces for better listing photos, and better living. I'm happy to photograph yours.

Deirdre was our photographer from Collette Design and Photography. She was super professional, responsive and consultative during the process of getting photos for our new short-term rental listing. We had an initial call to discuss needs and share details about the space we needed photographer and Deirdre also made suggestions for us the day-of the shoot which we appreciated. We received photos the very next day which meant and they were great quality. We're really happy with the results --- but only piece of feedback is I wished we had gotten more shots of some details throughout the house, but I should have specified that. Also --- it's much easier for us to get those shots ourselves and more difficult to get the photos that Deirdre delivered to us. Our space is very small, somewhat dark and very narrow and Deirdre was great at capturing it in an inviting but accurate way. Would hire again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Design pricing is based on square footage of the home. Design work is a package price, and installation services are at an hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a free phone chat to learn about your project goals; and start each client job with a consultation (onsite or virtual). I like to present the various options to help clients determine what level of service will work best for their project and their budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have special training and certification in vacation rental and home staging for sale.
