- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $25 per hour. A typical basic site starts at $1000. E-commerce sites start at $2000...final price will depend on the number of products and how complicated your site needs to be. Mobiile layouts start at $1000...this includes templates for 1 tablet and 1 phone. If you want special iphone templates it will cost $1500. These are just starting figures. To give you an actual estimate I would need to know exactly what you want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Short answer is YES. I use Bing quite a lot to look up how do do things I haven't learned yet or to refresh my mind on things I haven't done in a while. I am also on Lynda.com watching training videos. I am currently trying to learn Ruby on Rails.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in 2nd grade my mom brought home a TRS-80 that her work had just purchased and she needed to learn. One day after school I opened up the manual and figured out how to use the computer. She saw my interest in the technology and how quick I picked it up and she bought me a Vic-20 for Christmas. In 8th grade I wrote a wrestling program in basic using the character keys on the Vic-20. Nothing like stick figure wrestling. My principal had me write a program to keep track of grades for the students. Over the years the computers and technology got better and better. Now instead of writing offline software I write online software using PHP, CSS & MySQL.
