About

I am a floral designer for weddings and special events. My floral arrangements are rich and lush, and have the natural look of the garden. I like to create airy, asymmetrical arrangements with seasonal flowers in soft palettes. Branches, vines, ferns, fruits and seed heads contribute to the organic look. I studied Fine Arts in college, and I find arranging flowers is much like painting. It's an art, not a trade. The color of each flower informs the next. It's difficult to give an estimate for a wedding without speaking with the bride, or brides, or grooms, about expectations for the big day. I spend a lot of time educating clients about what will be in season when the wedding day rolls around, making suggestions and offering cheaper alternatives. Linda was great! she understood my vision and my budget. When I saw my flowers the day of the wedding I was so pleased with them. She even delivered them to my venue which was a huge help. She's a great florist and also just a really nice person, I enjoyed talking with her. If anyone is tying to find a great florist she is definitely the one to choose!

Lisa did an excellent job with our wedding flowers. We asked for a bridal bouquet and four bridesmaids' bouquets and center pieces for the reception. I knew that Lisa was going to be a hit when she explained she loved working with budget-conscious brides because it allowed her to be more creative. I received almost more compliments on my bouquet than my dress! Lisa is a wonderful person to work with. We was on-time and flexible and did excellent work!

Our daughter just got married this weekend! Fleurs of Orlean arranged all of the bouquets, boutineirs, and table arrangements. Linda was a delight to work with and had so many wonderful ideas for the flower arrangements and bouquets while making sure she kept my daughter's wishes in mind. The flowers were beautiful! Everyone at the wedding commented on how lovely the whole ballroom looked and how stunning the bride and bridesmaids looked with their bouquets! Thank you Linda for helping to make our daughter's day spectacular!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will do whatever I can to work within your budget. It just forces me to get more creative. I go into fields, stop along the side of the road and drive to farmers markets to make your bouquets organic and natural.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a devotee of Sarah Ryhanen and Nicolette Owen and their trend-setting work in the new floral aesthetics. I attend their classes at the Little Flower School in Brooklyn whenever I can.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I finally decided to follow my bliss!
