FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do have a standard pricing system for our lessons. Across the board, we charge the exact same for all instruments, and our prices vary by session length. Here are our rates: 30 minute lessons each week: $172 per month ($43 per pro-rated session) 45 minute lessons each week: $258 per month ($64.50 per pro-rated session) 60 minute lessons each week: $344 per month ($86 per pro-rated session)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with establishing the best scheduling options that work for you and take into consideration your location, the student's age range, feedback, and any special requests you have. Using all of these factors together, we then suggest an instructor who we think would be a great fit! All of our teachers that we recommend are on our staff and work closely with me, the director of Lessons In Your Home, D.C. All teachers have also passed a rigorous interview process, which ensures they are the best instructors to be part of our program.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Personally, I have a degree in music from Georgia State University and have been teaching in home lessons since 2006 through Lessons In Your Home. Also, I have experience in business through an extensive, 4 year internship I completed post-graduation while maintaining a full studio of private students. My experience in working with a full studio of students for the last 10 years, as well as my collegiate study, give me a great perspective on how to deliver successful, informative lessons that are fun, engaging, and constructive. My business experience is valuable in making sure I deliver the best customer service to our families, which is a very important concern for us at Lessons In Your Home.
