Kate helped my older child with TJ admissions and PSAT test prep. It helped a lot, I credit kate for the extra boost that helped achieve National Merit Scholar Semifinalist and an 800 on her Math SAT and TJ class of 2015. My younger child also found Kate's course offerings helpful and thinks that extra boost helped secure admission to TJ class of 2020. My kids looked forward to sessions with Dalby and Inspiring Test Prep and always found them enjoyable as well as helpful.May 6, 2016
Mrs. Dalby helped my son feel confident taking the SAT. She was positive, encouraging and kept him moving on his timetable.May 13, 2015
Both our children attended SAT prep classes with Kate and Rick. The classes are customized to meet the needs of each student and they ensure that students continue to build their skills during the course in order to obtain the best outcome. My children's scores improved after taking the Dalby's classes, so they truly benefited from Kate's and Rick's expertise, personalized approach and keen understanding of each student's needs. My children were admitted to their top choice university and we are grateful to the Dalbys for helping them reach their goal!Apr 11, 2014
We had an outstanding experience with Kate's tutoring services. My son studied with her in preparation for his TJ entrance exams and was thoroughly prepared for the testing format. (He got in by the way!) Kate focuses on building upon the student's knowledge and helping them to prepare for the testing taking itself. We've also gotten Kate's help with subject specific topics. Kate is very passionate about helping students, very responsive to the parents and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Kate's services to everyone. Her private tutoring services are very reasonably priced when compared to other similar testing services. Thank you Kate for all your support and for continuing to care about my son enough to follow up long after the tutoring sessions were over!Apr 24, 2015
I originally hired Kate to help my son prepare for the TJ Admissions test when he was in 8th grade. He took the course offered at Dalby. His scores in all areas went up drastically due to their very experienced test taking skills course and strategies. The techniques he learned improved his time management skills and taught him how to approach each question / problem in a systemic way. My son's self confidence was strengthened because he could finish each section with time to go back and work through more difficult problems in a strategic way. This past spring, I was back in touch with Kate for assistance with preparation for the ACT Test. Kate was very flexible with scheduling due to my son's busy schedule during junior year. The Dalby website enabled us to schedule appointments when it was convenient. My son participated in private tutoring with Kate this time around. He completed a diagnostic test to determine his weak areas. Kate knew exactly what strategies he needed to learn and master in order to improve his scores and time. She worked with him only a few times before the test. His scores the first time around were much higher than we had ever anticipated ~ or dreamed of!! I highly recommend Kate Dalby and the Dalby program!! I will use Kate for my next two children when their test time rolls around. She is thorough, extremely knowledgable in all test prep areas, very personable and able to relate well to the young teenage mind!!Apr 22, 2015
