Hi all! My name is Khloe and I own Khloe’s K9S in Mechanicsville! I am now accepting new clients for petsitting, farmsitting and dog training! I travel and all services are in home! I offer free meet and greets for petsitting and priced consults for training! I’m 23 with 10 years of experience in multiple areas of pet care including rescue, vet med, dog training, etc! I do this full time! Whether you are leaving for 2 weeks or just need someone to drop by while you’re at work, we are your go to! I am currently in school for being a vet tech and will be getting a bachelors in zoology! I have owned and currently own a variety of different species and breeds of animals! A little bit of my previous experience is working at barns, training dogs, working as a vet assistant, injecting and giving medications, working with or caring for aggressive or reactive pets, etc. If you are looking for someone text message is the quickest way to get ahold of me! Khloe was great! My kitty really needed a sanitary trim and I didn't want to take her to the vet unless I absolutely had to due to the way she reacted last time. Khloe took her time getting my cat comfortable with her first before the trim by sitting still and speaking softly. My kitty isn't fiesty, but she's super squirmy so it took multiple tries (with treats) to get all the matting off. Khloe was very patient and careful even though it took a while. If she's still available the next time my Ruby needs help, I will book her again. :)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will schedule an evaluation/consult and during that time we discuss struggles and goals. We will decide where to go from there whether that is one on one sessions, board & train, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with dogs from a young age and I have been self taught from a young age also. I have a lot of life experiences with dogs and over looking trainers. I am currently in college for animal behavior, animal science and veterinary studies.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have grown up with animals since I was born and started working with them at the age of 13. I started my own dog walking business alone and started volunteering at a dog rescue with my grandmother. I experienced and overlooked a lot of things at the rescue. At the age of 16 I got my own dog and that is where my personal training experience came in. I am always learning new things, as anyone should and focused on the dogs.
