DesignsbyBritt specializes in Event and Portrait Photography and Videography. We also provide Graphic Design, Photo Restoration and Retouch Artistry services. We can provide all of your events or business's media needs! DesignsbyBritt is run entirely by myself, Brittany and an excellent team of second and associate shooters, we help people bring out their best selves and then capture it and freeze it in time so that they will always have a tangible reminder of just how incredible they are! What makes us able to do that? Its the focus at DesignsbyBritt on connecting with people and really engaging them so that we may capture their authentic selves in a more radiant way. My mom once said of me "you could drop her from the plane in the middle of nowhere and she will make herself a friend." I love people and aiding them in seeing how beautiful and incredible they are and it shows in my work and in the work of those I choose to work with. I absolutely LOVE my job!!! Enough said!

I had a 4”x6” photo print I had taken of the World Trade Center that I wanted enlarged to 16”x24”. The multi-stage enlargement was done quickly, with multiple versions available to pick from. Once I selected the ones (color and black & white) it only took a couple of days for the new prints to arrive - great job.

Let me first start by saying she's so professional me and my wife really was looking for somebody that was going to catch all angles and every moment that we shared and when I say DesignsbyBrittLLC did an amazing job at our wedding my guess can't stop talking about how good she was at the wedding you want the best she is the best she was so amazing that me and my wife said that anything got to do with taking pictures she going to be the first one we contact I promise she worth every dollar you going to spend...

Britt was AMAZING!!!! Not only did she capture my special event (35th Birthday dinner party) beautifully with her work...she jumped right in and helped decorate...hugged me when she could clearly tell that I was frustrated with the venue's error in time, but more importantly, even when I went over my contract time agreement, she graciously adjusted her time frame and stayed to capture the cake cutting ceremony. She is a professional and has a beautiful and caring spirit. I really appreciate her work and I know that you will not be disappointed...SO BOOK HER ALREADY! :)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to chat with the client first either via phone or email and get a sense of who they are and what they are looking for. My specialty is the natural moments and bringing out authentic reactions and expressions from my subjects so the more I get the logistics out of the way before hand the better I am able to simply be human for the shoot so that I can put you at ease to bring out your best self.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA from NYU Photographed for a wedding and event photography studio in Long Island, New York for 6 years where I was the principal Portrait Shoot Photographer, Lead Wedding Album Designer and Photo Manager. I then moved down here to Virginia and went to work for the company I photographed for before going to NYU and that is Lifetouch National School Studios where I was the Lead Candids Sports Photographer as well as Lead Yearbook Specialist. I left my position there to launch my own photography business and be able to focus on some more quality time with my kids.
