I’m Mary, a dedicated local government professional by day and a passionate photographer at heart. I’m a proud alumna of Christopher Newport University, and when I’m not behind the camera, you’ll often find me baking, traveling, or spending time with the people I love.

Mary took exceptional graduation photos of my daughter and our family for VCU's graduation. She took full advantage of the great location at the VMFA gardens and she made sure it was a relaxed and fun experience for all. She made sure to ask questions about the vibe that we wanted and suggested pairings and poses that made everyone look their best. Did I mention the photos are STUNNING?! We decided to purchase more because Mary took so many lovely snaps. We'll be hiring her again when my youngest graduates in 2028!

Mary was great to work with! She was incredibly friendly and fun to work with but equally as professional during our shoot. She made it fun and romantic for my boyfriend and I. I was nervous about having them done as I have never had professional photos done before but she was very easy going and we had a great time. She responded very quickly and kept me updated with everything. Would highly recommend if in the Richmond or Fredericksburg locations!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is getting to know them like I know my friends. I want the experience to be fun, real, and natural for the people I'm taking pictures of. Everyone has a different comfortability and style for how they want photos and I will consult with a client on the phone before the photoshoot to make sure you get the photos you dream of.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had a super fun experience taking a few classes in high school so when I got to college, I started taking photos of my friends and family to begin practicing. I also photograph professionally for my 9-5 job and it's fun to be behind the camera capturing art.
