When you enroll your dog in one of our programs, your dog will learn to: stop pulling on the leash, no longer jump on people, end their "selective hearing," and so much more! We offer both private lessons in your home and day training options. Puppy programs are also available. My passion for dog training came during my career as a law enforcement officer. With over a decade of experience assisting K-9 handlers and training in Search and Rescue, I have the rewarding experience of having helped many owners lessen their frustrations and anxiety by improving their dog’s behavior. Using the techniques, tips, and knowledge I’ve gained over the years, I can help you and your dog in as little as a few weeks! Bringing harmony back into your home is just a call away. I’m proudly certified through the International School of Certified Dog Trainers, a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and a graduate of Dr. Ian Dunbar’s SIRIUS Dog Trainer Academy.

We have a 3 year old miniature golden doodle. Sadie is a wonderful girl and is a huge part of our lives. When she was a puppy we almost lost her due to pneumonia and she just was not able to be around other people or dogs when she was younger. We cannot say enough about Laura and Absolute Angel Dog Training. Sadie is a different dog. She is much more confident around others and she knows how to interact with others when they come to our home. What impressed us the most is just how much Laura cares for her students and the owners. Sadie just loved her and it showed with each session. We give Laura and Absolute Angel our highest recommendation!

We would leave Laura 10 stars if we could! She is a consummate professional in every way: her training, attitude, patience, communication, respect, and on-time arrival. Absolute Angel Dog Training, under Laura's leadership, offers 3 different training programs, depending on one's needs. We opted for the weekly at-home visits for our miniature poodle, Cutler. Cutler, an 8-month old puppy, needed to learn the basics - sit, stay, off, down, drop-it, touch, come, and a version of heel. My husband and I needed to learn the language that would keep that training in place while understanding how dogs think and what makes them more likely to respond. Between Laura's visits, we used her clear, concise methods to teach Cutler all of the things we wanted him to know. Laura came prepared with print-outs, sent videos, and provided us with tracking tools. She demonstrated training methods and walked us through carrying them forward between sessions. Now, Cutler doesn't jump on visitors, he comes/sits/stays on our command, drops items we don't want in his mouth, and immediately gets off of furniture we don't want him to jump on. We no longer have to worry that Cutler will run into danger or become an uncontrolled nuisance when we travel or take him out of his home environment. Thank you, Laura, for helping Cutler and us enjoy each other so much more!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started over 20 years ago assisting police K9 handlers with their training and trained my own dogs in Search and Rescue and as a Therapy Dog. I’m proudly certified through the International School of Certified Dog Trainers, a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and a graduate of Dr. Ian Dunbar’s SIRIUS Dog Trainer Academy.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
