Jenine was the absolute best trainer - more than I imagined one could be! She stressed the importance of not only me, but my kids to be involved with training the dog, which was very important for my family. She welcomed daily feedbacks by texts and always had helpful advice. She was flexible with our schedule and even came extra when we knew our dog needed more training immediately. She came to our home, worked each command and explained the importance of each one. As a first time dog owner with a very challenging dog, we relied heavily on her and she exceed our expectations in every way. Thank you!Sep 4, 2020Verified
We did a couple of at-home training sessions and then a board-and-train for two weeks. Jenine was great with my dog Kingston, who is very dog aggressive, and gave me the tools to continue his training at home.Sep 19, 2020Verified
Jenine was amazing! As 1st time dog owners we wanted to ensure that we did right by our puppy and in 6 weeks, he’s come a long way. Admittedly, we haven’t been as consistent, with what Jenine taught us and despite that, her methods and techniques work! Our pup has learned so much and so have we. Training does not have to be arduous, training should be fun and Jenine makes it fun! Thank you Jenine! We are going to practice and look forward to future training for more fun activities for our boy!Sep 27, 2020Verified
Jenine is exceptional and has a great understanding of dog behavior. She helped us work with a very reactive dog, and even in a short amount of time, her techniques showed great improvement with the dog. She is very responsive and provides a great value as well. Would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for dog training and look forward to working with her more in the future. 😊Aug 30, 2020Verified
We had our first session with Jenine and it went very well! We recently adopted a dog from a rescue and are deailng with some leash reactivity and aggression. She responded to my request for info right away and took the time to understand our concerns prior to meeting with us in person. Instead of asking us to purchase a package outright she offered an initial visit to assess the situation, get to know our dog, work with him and see if it was a good fit. We got a lot of valuable training just in our first session alone and she gave us several simple things to work on until we meet again. Her prices are reasonable, her approach is very kind and thoughtful and you can tell she really knows how to work with each individual dog. She identified what motivates our dog, what approaches would work best and helped us to see that our problems can be resolved with some patience and practice. We are looking forward to our continued sessions with Jenine!Aug 13, 2020Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We will work on a custom plan for your situation. Longer-term training plans are much better for the dog and will be more economical per-session. For board-and-train situations, cost may vary due to the specific needs of the dog (aggression vs basic puppy training).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We will meet for an initial training session. During that session our goal is to address immediate behavior concerns with safety as the #1 priority. As we identify longer-term goals we will put a plan in place. Owners should expect to do "homework" between sessions to practice and reinforce learning. Daily short training sessions are essential and often require no more than 15 minutes. For owners not able to commit to daily training, the board-and-train option might be best.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Human psychology course work, canine conditioning, PEMF therapy to treat depression and anxiety in dogs, personal experiences with obedience and dog sports training and conditioning. I was a lead volunteer for Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) for a few years, and participated in the Fairfax Pets on Wheels program. By profession I am a trained educator and coach.
