Introduction: I just moved to Virginia, I did makeup for 23 years for tv shows and celebrities in New York City. I've worked on several Fashion Weeks, Project Runway, magazine covers and I train fellow makeup artists. Some of my celebrity clients are Kathy Ireland, Paris Hilton, Eve...I offer 1 on 1 makeup lessons and I can be hired for any event. I am laid back, warm and friendly. I love all faces and I am skilled in asian and african american skin tones and eye shapes as well as caucasians. I can train smaller groups or individuals with product recommendations, I can be hired for travel.

Ava was absolutely fabulous! I was seeking a professional makeup artist to give me an evening glam look for a special night out and Ava was very communicative with me, and very quick to respond right from my initial inquiry up to her arrival. Ava took her time with my application and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. I enjoyed our conversation and will definitely book Ava again.

i was in such a bind when i went looking for ava, i was only weeks away from my wedding and extremely worried about how i was going to be showing up. ava carefully heard me out, i was looking for a light dewy soft look and boy did she deliver!! from the trial to the three wedding looks she did for me, i felt extremely beautiful throughout. not only did my mom and my friends love my looks, so many folks commented on how beautiful the make up was. i did not have to explain myself further, ava just understood. but on a deeper level, ava is not only an artist but such a deeply kind soul. she was incredibly respectful of all spaces, folks, and traditions she was around. by the end of the week she felt like family. thank you ava for being the best make up artist a girl can ask for but for also becoming a wonderful friend along the way. so much gratitude!!!! gagan

Ava is the best!! She did wedding makeup for myself (the bride), my mom, sister, and the groom’s mom. She came to the house to help us get ready which was a huge win for a packed day. Right away we felt like we had known her for years. We all had different skin types and tones, and she worked with each person individually to make sure we looked and felt our best. As a girl who doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup and likes to let my freckles shine through, I felt very heard when talking with Ava. I looked and felt like myself, but in a gorgeous glam way that was perfect for the big day. My skin looked flawless and my eyes popped with perfectly applied lashes. I’m so thankful that we booked Ava - she’s the best for the job!

Ava is a true artist. I felt amazing and looked beautiful. Not only is Ava fantastic, she is truly gifted. I was amazed and very delighted with what she did for me. She communicated every step of the way what she was planning to do with my make-up to make sure I was comfortable. We also had a great conversation mixed in while she did my make-up which totally put me at ease and made me very comfortable. Ava is extremely knowledgeable about makeup, products and is up on all the latest trends. Not only did she do an amazing job on my make-up, she gave me terrific tips and pointers for when I would do it myself. She really knows her stuff and I would highly recommend Ava for any of your make-up needs.
