I had created a quilt top for our daughter. I deconstructed some of her formal dresses I made her when she was in high school, in piano recitals and beauty pageants. But I did not have the experience or the skills needed to actually finish the quilt. So I sent the quilt top to Ditches & Stitches. They turned the quilt top into a beautiful quilt! Communications were clear and all my expectations were met in a timely manner. Thank you!

I’ve always had a dream of getting a Christmas quilt for my mother of all our animals. I’ve been thinking on this for years and finally (FINALLY!!!) this year, I did something about this. After some brief research and messaging people around, I met Patti through Thumbtack. I sent Patti my dream and she was able to truly make them a reality. I got the quilt tonight and, despite all the planning/photos she sent, it doesn’t do the in-person justice. When I opened it tonight, it just absolutely took my breath away. The cut out patterns, the stitching, the size, and just all the intricate details. I cannot wait for my mom to see this at Christmastime. Patti has not only made my dreams come true, but she’s done it with such a flourish that it’s far better than whatever my mind could imagine. Patti was great. She kept me in the loop on the process through and through. When it got closer to Christmas, Patti started the quilting in September and has given steady updates every other week. She was flexible, communicative, and just overall amazing. I don’t know, I don’t know what else can be said, but I do know this - what Patti has given me is a gift that’ll be talked about for years, remembered for decades, and will be hard to out-do maybe forever. My mom is always the most amazing at playing Santa each year, but I think I’ve had to gotten her beat this year and it wouldn’t be possible had I not had Patti taking it on. I could not ever make anything like this even if I tried for a hundred years. Patti is truly an artist at her craft and if I ever need another quilt again, I will always come back to her. She’s made a customer for life in me through this.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For long arm quilting services - beginning at $.02 / inch for edge to edge designs. price / inch increases due to level of customized quilting chosen. For custom quilt creation, pricing is based upon the size of the requested quilt. Price will be all inclusive, you will receive a completely finished quilt with no hidden charges or fees. I sell batting at $12 / yard I will provide binding and trimming services for an extra charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A hand made quilt is a wondrous thing. I will talk with you and together we will arrive at a mutually agreed upon design. The quote you receive from me will be based upon that agreement, and is open to adjustments should you decide to either increase or decrease the amount of customization in your project. Thread choices, pattern design, etc. are your choice. I will provide advice and help you with your decisions. In the end the final product will be yours, I want you to be happy with it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been sewing for nearly 30 years , quilting for five years, and Long-Arming quilting for myself and others for 2 years. I have taken numerous classes, both locally and at nationally offered events. I belong to two area Quilters Guilds: Stone House Quilters Guild (of which I am the Secretary and member of the Board) and Cabin Branch Quilters Guild.
