We have nothing but the absolute best to say about Sams Remodeling, and their entire crew. We recently hired them to renovate our bathroom, and to say they met our expectations would be an understatement. From the beginning Sam and each member of his team were great to work with, managed our understanding of the various parts of the project, and responded to our questions in an efficient manner. The crews would arrive on time each morning, and took care to lay down drop cloths to protect our floors (and pick them up each evening before they left) before they would begin their expert work for the day. Further, the foreman, Felix, or Sam would check in on the work most days to see how things were going and to touch base with us about the project. We really appreciated this level of communication and always felt that we knew what was going on with the project. The final result is a bathroom that exceeds our expectations, provided us a positive renovation experience, and we love it. The craftsmanship and quality of work exceeded the quoted cost, and they did an incredible job to manage costs and stay within budget, while sticking to the timeframe originally agreed upon. We couldnt recommend or say enough positives about Sams Remodeling, and look forward to working with them again on future projects.

Update: the workmanship and quality of materials (cabinets) have not stood the test of a couple of years. Little things that never lined up perfectly have become a big problem. Cabinets already look worn and the recessed panels of the shaker style doors were not sealed i.e. food debris gets in the cracks and can't be cleaned. Ugh!! They only applied one coat of paint to the walls, so minor bumps reveal the drywall. When we were rearranging furiture in the next room, we found places where they drilled through the wall to the other side. They were supposed to build an enclosure for our dryer hose they ran through a cabinet to protect it. We had them back to fix that but it collapsed again, crushing and disconnecting our dryer hose, causing major issues that cost us money. They forgot to put a threshold strip between the kitchen and the next room, leaving an unevenness that ended up causing the flooring to deteriorate. An outlet they replaced stopped working. They scratched our brand new floor when moving the refrigerator back to the kitchen. They split some of the wood when screwing the knobs into the cabinets. I didn't think it mattered since it was in the inside of drawers, but over time it has splintered. There were a lot of things I accepted that I shouldn't have--I didn't have enough experience. I would never use them again. I feel bad that my initial glowing review may have misled others, so I thought I'd provide an update.***********We had a significant kitchen remodel done by Sam and his crew. They raised part of the ceiling, replaced cabinets, counters, floors, lighting, etc. They promised the job done in 4 weeks and mostly (with the exception of some Covid-19 complications with supplies) delivered. He gave us a very good price, and unlike others, he didn't try to "up-sell" us on bells and whistles that we couldn't afford.Sam came up with some really neat ideas I would have never thought of: for example, he created an 8 foot window seat out of cabinetry, giving us a lovely space to lounge while providing a lot of extra storage. He was open to using different materials that weren't in his wheel house - I wanted to use green-friendly Marmoleum and he wasn't familiar with it. However, I was able to order exactly what I wanted and his crew installed it perfectly. The crew was also very polite and overall friendly and helpful. Really went the extra mile for us. They tried hard to minimize dust and mess. They were patient with me when I agonized over pain colors and painted different walls with samples to help me decide. The only negatives I would mention is that the design we agreed to had to change a little bit because the narrow cabinets they selected wouldn't fit. They could have done a better job of communicating this to us - they came up with an alternative solution and implemented it without asking us. If we had hired an architect - which would have cost at LEAST twice as much -- maybe that wouldn't have happened. On the other hand, when I changed my mind about a couple of things mid-stream Sam was fine with it and managed to accommodate everything I wanted without jacking up the price. So all in all, even though there were some places were he didn't follow the design exactly, we ended up benefiting from that.He wasn't perfect (noone is) but he was incredibly responsive - even after he got paid and had no incentive follow up. His main goal seemed to be able to make us happy - and he did! I would highly recommend him and am planning to hire him again when we do our bathrooms.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your detailed feedback. We truly value all input, as it helps us grow and improve. First, I want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration caused by your experience. We aim to deliver high-quality results and a positive experience for every customer, and I’m sorry to hear we fell short of your expectations in some areas.
Regarding the specific issues you mentioned:
Cabinets and Materials: While we strive to use durable and reliable materials, we acknowledge that wear and tear can occur over time, especially in high-traffic homes. If the cabinet issues are related to the manufacturer, we’re happy to assist in resolving those concerns on your behalf.
Paint and Wall Finish: We regret that the paint application and drywall finish did not meet your standards. This is something we can address and improve in future projects.
Dryer Hose Enclosure and Threshold: These structural issues are unacceptable, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with these problems. We take full responsibility and are committed to ensuring such oversights do not happen again.
Electrical Outlet and Flooring Damage: These are serious concerns that we take to heart. Our goal is to handle installations and repairs with the utmost care, and we regret any damage caused during the process.
Communication and Design Adjustments: We always aim to maintain open communication with our clients, especially when changes are necessary. We’ll take this as a reminder to ensure all adjustments are fully discussed and agreed upon in the future.
Despite these challenges, we are encouraged to hear that there were elements of the remodel you were happy with, such as the window seat, creative solutions, and efforts to accommodate your preferences. We’re grateful for your initial glowing review, and we deeply regret that your experience has not withstood the test of time.
We’d like to make things right. Please reach out to us directly so we can discuss the unresolved issues and explore how we can address your concerns. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we’re committed to restoring your trust.
Thank you again for your honesty. We are learning from this experience and working to ensure all our future projects exceed expectations.
Sincerely,
Sam
