- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our estimating system is simple. Most of our work is negotiated, not competitive bid. We share our costs with the owners and work on a percentage fee basis. Most of our subs bid lump sum based on available documents, We manage their contracts and any change orders to minimize the risk exposure the owner experiences. We provide to our clients all of our cost information when requested to maintain the open book policy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a registered professional engineer, I am required to take continuing education to renew my license every two years. In addition to this, we also continually read and research new products and methods of construction to insure that we are up to date on all of the available technology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been building commercial and residential projects for 50 years and started the company 26 years ago so that I could focus on individual projects and deal directly with clients.
