My first lesson was very worthwhile, quite different in a good way from golflessons I had years ago. He started with the basics, really good foundational work. The lesson left me with the idea that I might really learn to play this game. The video clips that he took during the lesson afre very valuable to me for practicing and remembering what I learned.

Stop your search for a golf instructor right here. I’m fairly new to the sport, but I can’t imagine there are coaches better than Coach Mike. I’ve only taken three lessons, but my game — and my love for it — has improved significantly.
Coach Mike assessed my skills in the first lesson and we started building from the ground up. He doesn’t just throw a bunch of information at you and expect you to put it all together. He gives you advice bit by bit and works with you until you get it right.
I came into our lessons having only played a full 18 a handful of times (averaged around 115-120 strokes per round), and struggled to make good contact on anything other than tee shots. With continued instruction from Coach Mike, I’m fully confident that I’ll break 100 in no time — and then keep climbing the ladder from there. And I can’t wait!

Through four lessons thus far, I've found Mike's direction to be nothing short of a revelation for my golf game. I showed up to my first lesson considering myself a fair golfer who really just needed help with his driver to move to the next level. Mike's assessments and instruction opened my eyes to the numerous areas my game could stand to improve, and how I could save a a significant number of strokes through different tactical approaches and slight adjustments to my technique. I'm confident I'm now not only gaining more power and accuracy off the tee and with my long irons, but also am developing an effective short game and stronger putting skills. Simply put, after just four lessons, Mike's coaching is making me a more knowledgeable and complete golfer. I'm looking forward to continuing my lessons with Mike, seeing further improvements in my shotmaking ability and watching my scores come down round after round.

I just took a lesson with Mike. It was my first golflesson ever. I have been golfing for a while but never learned the right way. Mike made me feel very at ease and immediately improved my stroke. A really awesome thing he does is records the lessons and sends you a Dropbox link with the videos so you can reference them. I’ll be going back to Mike for at least 5 more lessons. Thanks Mike!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Mike assesses a student's putting, chipping and swinging abilities and learns about their knowledge of the game. He discovers their desires and gives them a plan and timeframes on how to achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mike is a PGA Associate, a Certified US Kids Golf Instructor, and PCA Associate. There are rigorous playing ability and written tests that he passed to become a PGA Associate. Has been playing and coaching golf for a combined 40 years playing with and watching the best players of the past generation. Mike has also been very lucky to have had lessons with some of the finest golfing minds and teachers like Lee Trevino and Bob Toski. Mike uses a combination of knowledge, repetition, communication, and fun with his students to help them better understand the game, enjoy the game to its fullest, and reach their desired level and beyond.
