What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly studying new innovative ways to stay on top of our game. We do certifications as needed, such as lead certifications.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am the owner of Elite Window Solutions. I used to be a subcontractor for many of the big companies in Richmond years ago. I installed windows for several of them for many years. I didn't like the way they treated their customers or their workers. I always went out of my way to make customers happy. I loved what I did and I was good at it so I decided to give it a try on my own. I started very small and have grown tremendously over the last 8 years making quite a reputable name for ourselves in the Richmond area.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Replacement windows, vinyl siding, gutters, sliding glass doors, entry doors, and glass replacements
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Wow...there are too many to choose from! One job in particular was a siding and window job in Colonial Heights. We removed a large window and framed it our for a sliding glass door. We also closed up a entry door area per the customer request. The before and after pictures were amazing! Check them out on our Facebook page.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. Make sure you have a contractor whom is licensed and insured. Also, you don't have to pay a fortune to get a good window. We have access to each kind of window you would like at a much better price that the big corporate window businesses in the area.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew that they didn't have to pay a fortune for a good product. Many large corporate companies have large over head and, as a result, have to charge much more on their products to be able to sustain their business and marketing expenses. We are not in the business to take large amount of money from people. We are providing a great product for great pricing. Our customers love the products we install because they are good products. If someone comes to your house and gives you a quote for $500.00 per window....tell them to get lost and give is a call. I guarantee we will beat their price with a product that is just as good.
